Whether you are new to our studio or yoga in general, you've come to the right place! With more than 50 classes a week, there is something for every schedule.
Adding Studio South classes to your life can make a significant impact on your overall health. To experience the most benefits, it's important to practice consistently. For this reason, we encourage you to sign up for our Introductory Month Challenge which includes unlimited classes for 30 days for just $49. Now that is a deal!
During your Introductory Month really try to practice at least 3 times a week for optimal benefits. At the end of the day, some yoga is better than no yoga, so just do your best!
The following are a few tips to make your experience a great one!
- Arrive 15 to 20 minutes before your first class. We'll get you all signed up and give you a tour of the facility.
- Come comfortable. Wear breathable, light, workout clothing. Nothing fancy is required to begin your yoga journey at Studio South!
- Drink lots of water. Before, during, and after. We have complimentary filtered water available, just bring your bottle.
- Have a mat? Bring it. Need a mat? We've got you covered. Borrow ours, see what you like and we will give you a little Yoga Mat 101 while you are here.
- Leave your worries at the door. Come in with an open mind and don't worry about pushing yourself to any type of pain. Don't feel the need to compete with anyone in class. Simply do what you can and embrace the moment! Enjoy!
Not sure which class to start with?
- Our Hot Yoga sequence was designed with the beginner in mind. This sequence is stationary and therapeutic with a lot of cues to help guide even the true newbie in an effective, safe, and comfortable environment. Taking 3 Hot Yoga classes in 7 days is the best way to acclimate to the heat. While the heat is controlled by our state of the art hvac system, there is still a bit of an adjustment. Be kind to yourself and take breaks on your mat whenever you need to.
- Not into the heat? Not a worry! We offer unheated yoga classes as well. Start with any 60 minute classes named "Yoga". These classes are designed for most levels and provide a fundamental practice and experience for all who attend. The only requirement is that you are able to move through seated, standing, kneeling, and reclined positions unassisted. Can't balance? No worries, yoga will help and we have sturdy bars on the walls that you can hold on to help with this!
- Prefer not to get down on the floor? Chair yoga is where you should start. This class will give you all the benefits of yoga while in the comfort of your chair. No mat is required. Just come as you are!
